Aulestad’s Annual Christmas Market

Every December, you can experience the warmth and charm of a traditional Norwegian Christmas at Aulestad’s Christmas Market.

The historic home of Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson is beautifully decorated for the holidays, and guided tours offer a glimpse into how Christmas was celebrated in the poet’s time.

Children can enjoy storytelling sessions, horseback riding, and other delightful activities.

You’ll find charming market stalls filled with handmade home decor and crafts, as well as delicious food and festive Christmas treats.

You can also visit the café in Drengestua or the kiosk in Folkestua for tasty, homemade dishes.

Join us for this year’s Christmas Market on 6 and 7 December! Admission to the market is free, but some activities — such as the guided tours and children’s Christmas storytelling — require a separate ticket.
